Lucidus AI Edventures Private Limited ("Lucidus", "we", "us") respects the privacy of schools and students. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you use the Lucidus platform ("Platform").

1. What Information We Collect

We only collect information needed to provide educational services:

From Schools: contact details of staff, school account information, and student lists uploaded by the school.

From Students: basic profile details (name, grade, age group), learning activity within the Platform, career exploration progress, and feedback.

We do not collect unnecessary personal details such as financial data, precise geolocation, or biometric identifiers.

2. How We Use Information

We use data to:

• Provide and improve the Platform.
• Personalize student career experiences and recommendations.
• Help schools and counselors understand student engagement and progress.
• Maintain security and prevent misuse of the Platform.

We never sell student or school data to third parties.

3. Who We Share Information With

We only share data in very limited situations:

With Schools: Schools see the activity of their own students.

With Service Providers: We may use trusted vendors (e.g. AWS cloud hosting, analytics) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements.

When Required by Law: If necessary to comply with legal obligations.

4. Roles and Responsibilities

• Schools are the Data Controllers. They decide what student data is provided to Lucidus.
• Lucidus is a Data Processor. We process data only on behalf of schools and according to their instructions.
• Legal basis: Processing is necessary for providing educational services to the school and its students.
• Student Rights: Students (via their school) may request access, correction, or deletion of their data.

5. Data Storage and Security

• Data is stored securely on AWS cloud servers.
• We use encryption, access controls, and regular audits to protect information.
• Data is retained only as long as the school account is active or as required by law.

6. Student Privacy

• Lucidus is designed for students in Grades 8–10 (ages 13–16).
• Accounts are created by schools or with school oversight.
• Schools are responsible for obtaining parental/guardian consent before student accounts are created.

7. Your Rights

Schools or students (through their schools) may request:

• Access to personal data.
• Correction of inaccurate data.
• Deletion of data, where legally permitted.
• Restriction of processing or transfer of data.
