Lucidus AI Edventures Private Limited ("Lucidus", "we", "us") respects the privacy of schools and students. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you use the Lucidus platform ("Platform").

1. What Information We Collect

From schools: Staff contact details, account information, and student lists.

From students: Basic profile data (name, grade, age group), platform activity, career exploration progress, and feedback.

We do not collect financial data, precise geolocation, or biometric identifiers.

2. How We Use Information

We use data to:

  • Provide and improve the Platform.
  • Personalize career exploration experiences.
  • Help schools understand student engagement and progress.
  • Maintain security and prevent misuse.

We never sell student or school data to third parties.

3. Who We Share Information With

We share data only with:

  • Schools — their own students' activity and progress.
  • Trusted service providers (e.g., AWS) under confidentiality agreements.
  • Legal authorities when required by law.

4. Roles and Responsibilities

Schools function as Data Controllers, deciding what information to provide. Lucidus operates as a Data Processor, following school instructions. Processing is performed solely to provide educational services. Students may request access, correction, or deletion of their data through their schools.

5. Data Storage and Security

Data is stored on AWS servers with encryption, strict access controls, and regular security audits. We retain data only while accounts are active or as required by law.

6. Student Privacy

The Platform is designed for students in Grades 8–10 (ages 13–16). Schools create student accounts or provide oversight for self-registered accounts. Schools are responsible for obtaining parental/guardian consent before student accounts are created.

7. Your Rights

Schools or students (through their schools) may request:

  • Access to personal data we hold.
  • Correction of inaccurate information.
  • Deletion of data, where legally permitted.
  • Restriction of processing or transfer of data.
