Welcome to Lucidus, an online platform designed to help schools and students explore careers through interactive experiences and personalized insights. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Lucidus platform ("Platform") by schools, their staff, and students.

By accessing or using Lucidus, you agree to these Terms. If you are a school or educator, you are accepting these Terms on behalf of your institution and confirm that you have authority to bind it.

1. Who We Are

Lucidus AI Edventures Private Limited ("Lucidus", "we", "us") provides an online career exploration platform for schools and students in Grades 8–10.

2. Who May Use Lucidus

Schools and Staff: Schools act as primary account holders and administrators.

Students: Students may access Lucidus only through school-managed accounts or with school oversight.

Age: Lucidus is designed for students in Grades 8–10 (typically ages 13–16). Schools are responsible for obtaining all necessary parental/guardian consents before student accounts are created.

3. Accounts and Access

• Schools control access to the Platform and may create, suspend, or delete student accounts.
• Students may create their own accounts, but these remain linked to and visible to their school.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials and for any activity under your accounts.

4. Use of the Platform

You agree to:

• Use Lucidus only for educational, non-commercial purposes.
• Not copy, resell, reverse engineer, or misuse any part of the Platform.
• Ensure that student use is appropriate and supervised.

All content on Lucidus, including software, text, graphics, images, micro-experiences, and simulations, remains the property of Lucidus AI Edventures Private Limited and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5. Data Protection and Privacy

• We never sell student or school data to third parties.
• Student information is used only to provide educational services, personalize experiences, and improve the Platform.
• Schools remain responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable student data protection and parental consent requirements.
• Schools act as "data controllers" and Lucidus acts as a "data processor" on their behalf.

6. Pilots and Subscriptions

• These Terms apply equally to free pilot programs and paid subscriptions.
• During pilots, the Platform is provided free of charge for evaluation purposes.
• Paid subscriptions are subject to the fees agreed separately in writing.

7. Service Availability

We aim to keep Lucidus available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Platform at our discretion.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Platform if you breach these Terms, misuse the Platform, or otherwise create risks for Lucidus or other users. Schools may also terminate their accounts by providing written notice, subject to any agreed subscription period.

9. Disclaimers and Limitations

• Lucidus provides career exploration tools for educational purposes only. It does not guarantee specific academic or career outcomes.
• To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lucidus is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Lucidus' maximum aggregate liability under these Terms will not exceed the total amount paid by the school for the services in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India.
